Starting from Argostoli itself, its port is one of the attractions you have to walk. A beautiful harbor with wide sidewalks for long walks. Walking towards the Koutavos lagoon, which is essentially the bay that is naturally formed by the island in the area of Argostoli, you will find the bridge of Devosetos. A large bridge that connects the port with the seaside you are seeing across. Prefer to walk through it in the afternoon since the route is long and the view is unique.
Within a short distance from the port, you will be able to locate additional notable monuments such as the Clock Tower, the Korgialenio Historical and Folklore Museum and a number of historic Christian temples.
Crossing the streets vertically from the port road to Georgiou Vergoti Avenue you will be able to find many restaurants, hotels and studios to stay in. In general, Argostoli is not a bi city. From the port to Kalamia beach is 2.3 km which is 5 minutes by car. Platis Gialos, one of the famous beaches of the island is just as close to the city as it is only 7 minutes drive and about 40 minutes walk.
The island’s airport is located just outside Argostoli at a distance of 8.4 km from the town. View on map
